At ICA's International Reception, ICCA presented the Best Service Award to Dr. Sunny Liu and the Lifetime Achievement Award to Prof. Yu-li Liu, honoring their decades of contribution to the communication field.
For the first time, a Taiwanese university was featured at ICA:
Distinguished Prof. Trisha Lin introduced NCCU's MA in Global Communication and Innovation Technology (GCIT), and Distinguished Prof. Tammy Lin highlighted NCCU's College of Communication-Taiwan's flagship in the discipline.

2018 ICCA Reception @ ICA Prague
Held on the evening of May 25 at the Old Town Hilton in Prague, the reception was a full house. Dean Benqian Lin (School of Media & Design, Shanghai Jiao Tong University) and ICA President-elect Prof.Terry Flew（Queensland University of Technology) delivered keynote remarks.
CCA Service Awards were presented to Founding President Prof. Chin Chuan Lee (City University of Hong Kong) and former presidents Prof. Ran Wei (University of South Carolina) and Prof. Zhong Bu (University of Pennsylvania).
The CCA Best Faculty Journal Article Award was presented to Assoc. Prof. Trisha T. C. Lin (National Chengchi University) for her 2017 paper on political participation, published in the Journal of Broadcasting &Electronic Media.
